Overview
John represents service businesses, foreign and domestic manufacturers, distributors, importers, and leasing companies, as well as buyers and sellers in business sales and asset acquisitions ranging from a half million to several hundred million dollars. He has also been corporate counsel for numerous mid-sized and large corporations, some of which have been clients for years and is a testament to these clients’ satisfaction with his work. He drafts their agreements, addresses their general corporate needs, and handles their litigation disputes.
John obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Finance in 1985. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1988 on a full merit scholarship for being ranked #2 in his class. He was recruited directly out of law school by one of California’s top-5 rated law firms where he spent a few years, and then he joined a well-known firm of trial lawyers. There, he learned the ropes of trial before forming his own law firm in 1996.
With 30+ years of practice, John’s litigation practice focuses on business, IP, defense of administrative actions, and employment litigation in federal, administrative and state courts. He has obtained many successful defense and plaintiff’s verdicts for his business clients, including multimillion-dollar plaintiff’s verdicts and favorable adjudication of clients’ intellectual property rights.
