Overview

As a member of the firm's transactional department, Mimi handles a broad range of general business, corporate, and real estate matters. Before joining Shulman Bastian Friedman & Bui, LLP, Mimi spent several years in-house- first- at a private equity firm, then, at a global investment management company. Those experiences helped Mimi develop a business-minded approach, focused on practical and purposeful strategies, to meeting clients' goals and objectives.

Mimi has extensive experience with entity organization, structuring, and maintenance. She advises clients on organizational governance and compliance, including the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and documentation. She handles corporate and general business matters, including stock and asset transfers, distributorships, licensing, and trademarks. She regularly represents clients in secured and unsecured lending transactions, workouts, and foreclosures. She also provides strategic counsel to clients on various real property transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leases.

Additionally, Mimi's practice includes estate planning as well as business succession planning.
