Attorney Information

Overview

With over 30 years of experience, David Kaloyanides brings a wealth of trial experience to defending each of his clients. Whether the case involves Grand Jury investigations, drug charges, violent crimes, or white collar crime such as bank and wire fraud, criminal tax cases, criminal copyright infringement, Mr. Kaloyanides's expertise in criminal defense helps clients get through their ordeal.

Mr. Kaloyanides is Certified Specialist in Criminal Law, certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Kaloyanides gives each client's case personal and individualized attention. This client-focused approach means helping clients understand their options, identify their goals, and fight to achieve those goals. To achieve the best outcome, each case receives the benefit of a knowledgeable and experienced defense team. But no matter what the case, Mr. Kaloyanides personally handles the representation for each client.

Every case is different. Every client is different. However, there is one common thread in all criminal cases: the case comes down to what the prosecution prove from the evidence. Only after fully understanding the evidence can any lawyer provide the advice and counsel to a client on what is the best course of action. This takes thorough evaluation of the prosecution's evidence, investigation into that evidence, and determining what the evidence shows and what it doesn't show. Then Mr. Kaloyanides works with his clients to decide on the best course of action for them: attacking the case, negotiating a resolution, or going to trial.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
