After serving in the United States Navy under the command of Rodney A. Knutson, Paul obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) in 1992. Paul then went on to earn a JD, with Honors, from Drake University Law School in 1995.

Paul is a seasoned litigator with a great amount of experience representing client interests in varying capacities. Paul is admitted before all of the Courts in the State of California, and the US District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.

Paul specializes in civil litigation and business representation, representing and defending clients in real estate, business, trust, employment and personal injury matters and related bankruptcy actions.

Paul has brought many, many cases to verdict in both jury and bench trials, in addition to numerous arbitrations. Paul utilizes his vast trial experience to develop client strategies to achieve client goals efficiently and expeditiously. As a result, Paul is often able to protect businesses and their clients from increased litigation costs and the uncertainty of the court system.

With Paul's extensive litigation background, he is very active in alternative dispute resolution, serving as an administrative hearing officer for the City of Long Beach; a mediator / arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court; a mediator for the Court of Appeal; a Settlement Officer for the US District Court, Central District of California; a mediator / arbitrator for California Arts, Arbitration and Mediation Service through California Lawyers for the Arts; and a mediator for Resolvelitigation.com. In these capacities Paul has conducted well over 1,000 mediations.
