Hired Attorney 2008-2013I’m sure there was a time when David was great. Unfortunately due to his dementia I cannot recommend him anymore

Hired Attorney 2016-2019David Elden is a no-nonsense straight to the point attorney that gives you results. The first time I spoke to David was over the telephone I was nervous and scared but he was very polite and the first thing he asked me was how are my family? We spoke for about five minutes about my parents before getting into my case. That five minutes made me strong and confident to talk to him about my situation. It didn’t take long for David to tell me what to expect. He was honest and didn’t waste my time with promises. He fought for me back and forth with the prosecutor to lessen my time. He didn’t give up on me. I spoke to many people with the same situation as mine who is serving three years sentencing where I was only serving six months. Their issue was that they didn’t have a good lawyer like David. He treats you with respect and dignity. David makes you feel like a human being not like a failure. Prior to David I had three attorneys who only wanted my money and never provided results. David His fees is reasonable, he’ll work with you. I have no regrets but gratefulness to David.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
