Consulted Attorney 2022The WORST judge I have EVER encountered with. Completely died looking further into my daughter’s physical, mental, and verbal abuse. Called my daughter manipulative, when in fact my daughter was a victim. I have no words….

Consulted Attorney 2019-2020TERRIBLE ATTORNEY, that now acts as a Family Law Judge in Los Angeles Superior Court. VERY QUESTIONABLE....she has no background in Family Law as her biography states as fact YET she makes rulings that DISENFRANCHISE and HURT Mothers, Children, and Families in Los Angeles County. Specifcally, she is a partner with the following firm who's motto is:Boies Schiller Flexner is snapping up downtown’s Caldwell Leslie & Proctor effective April 17, according to the firms, giving the New York-based outfit a robust addition to its West Coast practice. The deal nets Boies Schiller Flexner several high-profile partners at Caldwell Leslie, a 27-attorney litigation boutique that has a broad-based practice encompassing media and entertainment, white collar crime, environmental, and employment law. Caldwell Leslie clients include Warner Bros. Entertainment, Gap Inc., TMZ, and a number of corporate executives including former Countrywide Financial Chief Executive and current PennyMac Executive Chairman Stanford Kurland. Partner Christopher Caldwell said in a statement that the firm felt comfortable merging with Boies Schiller because both had a litigation focus and similar cultures. “We were particularly excited to join (Boies Schiller) because of the firm’s unique strength in the litigation realm and our shared understanding of the role litigation has in helping clients solve problems,” Caldwell said. “The move will strengthen our ability to serve our clients, while providing us an opportunity to bring our expertise to serve (Boies Schiller’s) existing clients.”

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
