Alexis Hames - Los Angeles, CA

Alexis Hames first joined Makarem & Associates as a law clerk in 2017. Ms. Hames' work as an employment attorney includes all aspects of case management including client relations, taking and defending depositions, managing written discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, negotiating and securing settlements for her clients, and representing clients at trial or arbitration. Her practice primarily focuses on representing employees in employment matters involving claims of wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Ms. Hames graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2018. During law school, Ms. Hames earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine's Straus Institute. She also received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in her Negotiation Theory & Practice course, along with her J.D. During law school, Ms. Hames clerked for a United States Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and interned for Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County before joining Makarem & Associates.

Prior to law school, Ms. Hames graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2015, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Journalism.
