Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, LLP
Los Angeles Family Law Lawyer
Overview
Anne Nakornratana Slusser began working at Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers in 2002. A decade later, the law firm named her one of its partners. During the length of her tenure, she has distinguished herself as an experienced attorney capable of handling some of the most volatile cases that come to the firm. Her clients primarily include high-profile individuals from Los Angeles and Orange County. She focuses on helping her clients manage their expectations of high-asset divorce and custody. More than just sharing her legal expertise with her clients, she provides them with emotional support and is an excellent listener. In addition, while she is always prepared for trial, she also enjoys finding ways to help her clients avoid litigation.
Ms. Slusser completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California. Three years later, she obtained her law degree at Southwestern Law School, Los Angeles, California. She was then admitted to the bar that same year, in 2001.
Her extensive trial experience likely contributes to her successful cases. In one year, it is not uncommon for Ms. Slusser to prepare for over 20 evidentiary hearings and trials, for her clients. The case she feels most proud of involves an international move-away request. A woman from Israel wished to return home with her child. Despite the obvious challenges, she brought the case to a successful close. This and other big wins have earned her the recognition of her peers. In 2018, the Los Angeles Business Journal names her on its list of Most Influential Women Attorneys. Ms. Slusser was consistently recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year from 2009 to 2016, and selected to Super Lawyers every year since 2019.
Ms. Slusser maintains membership with the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. When she's not tackling complex family law cases, she enjoys spending time with her family, working with her daughter’s Cub Scout pack, and reading Sci-Fi/Fantasy YA novels.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
