Ashkan Zamani is a skilled personal injury attorney at BD&J, PC who is dedicated to serving as a strong advocate for civility, justice, and helping those who are in need.

Ashkan is a firm believer in the power of hard work and persistence, two principles he learned from his father, who has always been a source of inspiration in his life. Ashkan’s father faced challenges when he moved from his native Iran to the United States in 1969 in pursuit of higher education — but he overcame those challenges and built a better life for his family. It is through his father’s experiences that Ashkan learned what it means to stand up and fight for your rights. Ashkan’s goal is to bring about these same principles of hard work and persistence to the legal realm in favor of clients affected by personal injury.

It is his mission to advocate for people who do not have a voice of their own and to take a stand for justice where justice is nowhere to be found.

“It is through adversity that one finds the will, courage, and determination to move forward and achieve a certain objective,” Ashkan said. “No matter the obstacle, difficulty, fear, or doubt, persistence in the end will always prevail.”

Moreover, Ashkan understands the fundamental importance of building strong relationships and establishing an environment of trust with clients, where clients are seen as more than just a paycheck but rather an opportunity to help another human being for the sake of maintaining respect and civility within our society — something Ashkan feels has been lost in this day and age.

Ashkan graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Psychology. He then attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate (J.D.). While attending law school, Ashkan was an active member of the Moot Court Honor Society and competed in the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Moot Court Intra-School Competition in 2019, where he placed first for the 4th Amendment Argument Award and second for the Oral Advocacy Award. Additionally, he was awarded honors in Negotiation Theory and Skills in 2019 and served as President of the Middle Eastern Law Student Association (2016-2019). Ashkan is licensed to practice in both Michigan and California.
