Mr. Chiang's legal paper, "Copyright Protection Designed for Music's Illusory Innovation Space: A Sliding Scale Framework of Broad to Thin Protection," won the GRAMMY Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Contest. His paper has been published in the Entertainment and Sports Lawyer Journal, a publication of the American Bar Association. At UCLA Law, he also served as Managing Editor of the Dukeminier Awards Journal.
Mr. Chiang received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, where he majored in Political Science and was a Sharpe Fellow. While in law school, he served as judicial extern to Judge Consuelo B. Marshall of the Central District Court of California.
