Doug has consistently fought for those wronged by large companies like Nissan, Facebook, Honda, and Philip Morris, who have suffered serious injuries through their negligence. Through his tenacity, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars in maximum compensation for his clients.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Doug’s journey to becoming a trial lawyer was influenced by his initial desire to be a teacher. “I liked teaching, and being a trial lawyer is part of me being a teacher—as well as an advocate,” Doug shared. “You’re advocating, but you have to educate at the same time and instruct as to why this is the correct analysis.”
Through this nuanced approach, Doug guides clients through the complex legal system with expertise and integrity.
He graduated with honors from both Pepperdine Law School and Ohio State University. Doug has earned the recognition of “Super Lawyer” annually from 2011 to the present and “Best Lawyer” from 2017 to the present.

Doug is licensed to practice before the Northern and Central California federal courts. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
Doug is an avid sportsman when he isn’t taking on huge companies and insurance agencies. He completed stages of the Tour of France in 2004, the Tour of Italy in 2009. Doug most recently competed in the Alcatraz and Malibu Triathlons.
