Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, LLP
Los Angeles Family Law Lawyer
Overview
Felicia R. Meyers is a partner at Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, LLP. The law firm attracted a lot of attention when it launched as California's only female-established firm. Since then, the firm's record in court has garnered even more public interest. This has attracted many high-profile clients in the entertainment, business and sports industries. Attorney Meyers primarily serves high-profile clients throughout the State of California on matters related to high-asset divorce and custody.
Ms. Meyers started her career practicing civil litigation, and she has exclusively practiced family law for over 22 years. She is a dynamic and zealous litigator, who is at her best when she is battling it out for her clients in the courtroom. Her extensive litigation experience provides a distinct advantage in representing clients with complex child custody and financial issues.
Ms. Meyers has received a number of honors and awards for her legal work. In 2019, she was honored in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s annual special supplement, which honors 75 of the city’s most influential women attorneys. Additionally, Ms. Meyers was also nominated for the Inspirational Women Award, given by the Los Angeles Times B2B Publishing, in 2021.
Some of the most difficult cases Ms. Meyers works on involve international move-away requests. She also works with clients as they negotiate two of the most contentious aspects of divorce: property distribution and support. When tackling these cases, she takes the time to listen to her clients and understand their feelings of vulnerability. She then does everything she can to protect their rights and the rights of any children involved.
Ms. Meyers maintains memberships with several law organizations and has also held leadership positions. She served as the former chairperson of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Family Law Section, a role for which she was awarded the President’s Award. An active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Ms. Meyers has been selected to the California Super Lawyers list almost every year since 2009. She was also selected for inclusion in the 2024 and 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Family Lawyers.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
