Heather Pickerell is an associate in the firm’s litigation department. Her practice covers a wide range of commercial, entertainment, intellectual property, employment, and real estate matters. Ms. Pickerell regularly appears in and has presented oral argument twice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit as an appointee to the Criminal Justice Act panel. She also teaches a constitutional law class at the University of Southern California Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Pickerell served as a Deputy Federal Public Defender. She clerked for Judge Karen Nelson Moore on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Judge Jia Cobb of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Ms. Pickerell graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she received the Dean’s Scholar award for attaining the top grade in Copyright.
