Originally a resident of Florida, Mr. Fels began his career working at a premier corporate law firm in Miami. Eager to try cases, Mr. Fels became an Assistant State Attorney in Miami, trying the highest number of cases to verdict in his starting class. After taking the California Bar, Mr. Fels became an Assistant District Attorney in San Diego, again trying the highest number of cases in his starting class and being quickly elevated as the head of the Human Trafficking Task Force, leading a team comprised of FBI, DOJ, and USAO.
