Overview

Justin is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Coleman & Horowitt. His practice focuses on business and complex commercial litigation matters. Justin has represented a diverse range of clients, including international shipping companies, solar energy companies, public entities, and trustees. He has handled a wide range of matters involving real estate, construction, banking, partnership and business disputes, and wage and hour class actions.

Prior to joining Coleman & Horowitt, Justin practiced at a litigation defense firm where he represented international corporations, large public entities, and shipping and maritime companies in high stakes complex commercial disputes.

Justin also has experience in the commercial real estate industry handling acquisitions and dispositions for a global real estate investment company, giving him firsthand knowledge of the issues that can arise in complex real estate and business transactions.

  • Defeated a $10 million claim for one of the largest shipping companies in the world, securing summary judgment in client’s favor in a lawsuit alleging damage to cargo and involving the Montreal Convention, an international treaty governing the liability of airlines in the transport of cargo by air.
  • Prosecuted a multi-million-dollar claim against a major bank arising from its material breach of a debt restructuring agreement.
  • Represented a trustee in a series of complex trust and probate litigation actions centering on the disposition of real estate assets and related creditor claims.
  • Represented a service provider in contract negotiations with a major casino entity involving the terms of a multi-year contract for the sale of curated music streaming services to multiple casino locations.
