Lolita Brown Fletcher received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1989 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine in 1984. Mrs. Brown Fletcher is licensed to practice law in California.

Mrs. Brown Fletcher has practiced mostly in the areas of Insurance Defense and Employment Law, representing small, medium, and large companies and entities in varied industries, including defense, government, and food service. She developed her interest in employment law during law school. She interned for the Women’s Legal Defense Fund in Washington, D.C., and worked for the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing’s Los Angeles Office. After working for several small to mid-sized law firms, she managed her own boutique employment law firm for approximately eight years, representing Fortune 500 Corporations as well as Plaintiffs in employment and insurance defense matters.

After twelve years of litigation practice, Mrs. Brown Fletcher left the practice of law to become the Personnel Director for the City of South Gate, where she managed all of the City’s Human Resources and Risk Management functions. In February of 2014, Mrs. Brown Fletcher retired from her full-time position in Human Resources.

Since 2014, Mrs. Brown Fletcher has been serving as a Human Resources Consultant, Employment Investigator, and Real Estate Investor. Mrs. Brown Fletcher specializes in complex employment investigations, including police investigations.

In 2017, Mrs. Brown Fletcher became an Adjunct Professor at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, where she continues to teach Employment Discrimination and Special Education Law and serves as the Director of the law school’s Individual Education Program (IEP)/Special Needs Legal Clinic. In this capacity, Mrs. Brown Fletcher trains law students to advocate for low-income, disabled students in Pre-K through 12th Grade and beyond.

Mrs. Brown Fletcher has taught workshops and seminars on Interviewing Skills, Prevention of Harassment, Discrimination, and Retaliation in the Workplace and Workplace Communication.
