Overview
Alex was born in Colombia and is fluent in Spanish. A former partner at a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury trial firm in Pasadena, he now heads the Personal Injury Department at Brock & Gonzales.
Alex has dedicated his entire legal career representing the injured. He has aided in obtaining results in the multiples of millions of dollars from pre-litigation through trial. His notable results include: $9 million settlement (auto vs. bicyclist – open policy case); $5.5 million stipulated judgment (auto v auto); $3.2 million verdict (auto vs. auto); $2.75 million settlement during trial (auto v. pedestrian – against a public entity); $1.75 million settlement during pretrial (forklift v. pedestrian wrongful death); $1 million settlement (truck vs. auto – passenger injured); $1 million settlement (auto v. pedestrian in a parking lot); $950,000 settlement (passenger injured while in a rideshare vehicle); $500,000 settlement (Bar fight); $400,000 settlement (auto v. motorcycle); $290,000 settlement pre-litigation (trip and fall) and $260,000 settlement (auto v. auto pre-litigation).
Alex obtained his law degree from Southwestern Law School in 2013. Prior to law school he attended California Lutheran University where he double majored in his undergraduate studies and obtained a Master’s degree graduating with high honors. Alex was an avid soccer player growing up playing for multiple club teams and for California Lutheran University men’s program.
While at Southwestern Law School he was part of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program (TAHP). He was given the “Junior Advocate of the Year” award in 2011 and was a Mexican American Bar Foundation (MABF) scholarship recipient. Following law school he was selected to take part in the prominent American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Fellowship program.
