Overview
Mr. Yoo is Counsel with the firm and has extensive experience representing a variety of clients, including financial institutions and professionals, insurance agents and professionals, and businesses (including their officers and/or directors). He has represented clients in a diverse range of matters, including contract disputes, and claims of breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and misrepresentation, trade secret misappropriation, unfair or deceptive business practices, and employment claims. Mr. Yoo is experienced in nearly all aspects of civil litigation, including through appeal, and has litigated both in state and federal court, as well as arbitral forums. He has substantial experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions and has prevailed on summary judgment and partial summary judgment motions which disposed of entire actions, or claims posing risk of punitive damages liability.
Prior to joining Trepanier Tajima LLP, Mr. Yoo was a senior associate with O'Hagan Meyer, practicing in the areas of professional liability, securities arbitration, defense of directors and officers, and commercial litigation. He received his B.A. from the University of Southern California, cum laude, and J.D. from Cornell Law School. During law school, Patrick also externed for the Tompkins County District Attorney's Office and the Cornell Labor Clinic.
