Robert J. Allan is a barrister and solicitor and an AV rated attorney with over 30 years of litigation and international legal experience. Mr. Allan has earned a global reputation for excellence in both the legal and business community, and has been honored with an AV Rating; Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He has extensive experience representing the interests of existing and emerging domestic and international businesses and provides insightful legal counsel on matters such as litigation, arbitration, international law, corporate law, corporate governance, global finance, insurance, and transactional representation.

Mr. Allan has considerable expertise in corporate compliance and global corporate structures. His ability to understand the nuances of establishing and growing an international business provides him with an exceptional ability to forecast the challenges many businesses face while expanding their international operations.

He has represented domestic and foreign corporations, partnerships and trusts covering a wide array of practice areas. Mr. Allan also serves as general counsel for many of his clients. Mr. Allan's experience as an attorney at law, as well as his experience as a President and CEO of public and private corporations provides him with unique insight into the complexities of running a global business.

He also co-founded the USA China Law Group, dedicated to providing legal and strategic business advice, as well as litigation support to individuals, businesses and corporations looking to establish and grow a business presence in China. The Group's attorneys have offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai.

Mr. Allan authored an article titled The Conflicted Duty of Chinese Lawyers, which was published in the National Law Journal and co-authored an article titled "Forensic Sourcing in China," which outlines strategies for successful compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Mr. Allan is a frequent speaker. In the last year he has made presentations at the Director's College at Stanford Law School, the CEO roundtable in Beijing, UCLA Law School, and USC Law School.

Mr. Allan began his law career at the firm of Bull, Housser & Tupper LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia. He received a Law Degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 1975, With Distinction. He is admitted to practice in California and in British Columbia.
