I worked with Attorney Robert Menache during my recently concluded divorce case. I connected with Robert during a very dark phase in my life when I had to deal with an extremely menacing and unreasonable ex as well as her attorney. Despite the odds against us, Mr. Menache applied a calm headed and professional attitude, unpacked the layers and resolved one issue at a time. I was rest assured during the process that I not just have a strong attorney who understands the dynamics but also someone who truly believes in converging the issues and bring a closure. There was no hidden agenda and Mr. Menache always demonstrated full transparency. Mr. Menache also has a pretty strong court presence. I acknowledge integrity, resolve, intelligence and common sense as Mr. Menache’s top attributes and recommend anyone to hire him without a second thought.

This is an unbiased, unpaid review from a recent client. I was struggling to  have my case resolved; especially during these Covid times when things were moving super-slow. I found Robert thru Yelp and selected him based on these reviews. I made the right choice! Robert is unlike any other "greedy" lawyers that i had contacted before. He is very professional, knows what is doing (very important), to the point, communicates at a blazing speed, tells you the costs involved upfront (which was very reasonable and on top of that he waived some of his fees at the end as a courtesy). My case was completed faster than I could anticipate and Robert met a deadline that I had proposed. He went above and beyond to help me. I would highly highly recommend Robert if you want an honest, professional attorney by your side.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
