H. Joseph McDonald - Monterey, CA

Joseph McDonald is a graduate of Monterey College of Law, Class of 2014. After completing his J.D. studies a semester early, he sat for the California Bar Exam in February 2014 and passed on his first attempt. He was sworn in as a licensed California attorney in June 2014.

After passing the State Bar Exam, Joseph interned with and then worked for the Monterey County Public Defender’s Office, where he practiced from 2014 to 2015. There, he handled all aspects of criminal defense matters, from daily court appearances to court and jury trials. In 2016, he transitioned to family law and has practiced exclusively in that area ever since. He handles all aspects of family law matters, including division of assets in high-asset cases, custody and visitation, and child and spousal support, and represents clients from the inception of a case through trial.

As part of R.S.C. Law Group, Joseph is committed to diligent advocacy and to helping clients navigate difficult and emotionally challenging family law matters with respect and empathy.

Joseph, who also goes by Joey, and his wife are lifelong residents of the Monterey Bay area. They have two sons and enjoy family dinners, movie nights, and spending time at home with their cats.
