Shane C. Stafford is an experienced trial and appellate litigator. He has substantial experience prosecuting and defending class action cases, including employment matters such as failure to pay wages, failure to provide meal/rest breaks, failure to provide proper pay stubs, disability discrimination, failure to provide leaves of absence, and retaliation claims. He also has experience in consumer class actions involving false advertising, hidden fees, data breaches, and unfair or deceptive trade practices.
Mr. Stafford also has successfully pursued and defended individual claims for wrongful termination, sexual harassment and gender, age, or race discrimination, and handled commercial litigation matters, such as breach of contract and intellectual property disputes.
Mr. Stafford also has extensive experience assisting in the formation of new entities (including C-Corporations, S-Corporations, LLCs, joint ventures, and partnerships) as well as forming and advising 501(c)(3) non-profit corporations.
Mr. Stafford graduated summa cum laude from Whittier Law School in 2001, where he was a member of the Law Review, Moot Court Honors Board, and Trial Advocacy Honors Board. In addition, Mr. Stafford externed for the Honorable Alex Kozinski at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Stafford is an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest such rating available to any individual attorney. Mr. Stafford is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. He has published articles in various employment journals in Orange County. Mr. Stafford is licensed to practice law in California and the District of Columbia.
