Walter Suchyta - Oakland, CA

With more than 30 years of legal experience, Walter F. Suchyta has dedicated his career to defending individuals facing criminal charges throughout California. Since being admitted to the State Bar of California in 1992, he has earned the trust of clients through careful preparation, practical legal strategies, and a steadfast commitment to protecting their rights.

Criminal defense is the primary focus of Mr. Suchyta's practice. Drawing on decades of courtroom experience and extensive knowledge of California's legal system, he provides thoughtful representation in a wide range of criminal matters. In addition to his legal practice, he has served on the Alameda County Assessment Appeals Board since 2015, where he contributes to fair and informed decision-making in the community.

Before pursuing law, Mr. Suchyta built a successful career in the environmental and industrial sectors, holding leadership positions with Kaiser Aluminum and serving honorably as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. These experiences helped shape the disciplined, results-oriented approach he brings to every client he represents.

Mr. Suchyta received his Juris Doctor from Southland University and also earned degrees from LaSalle Extension University and Chabot College. He remains an active member of the State Bar of California and the California DUI Lawyers Association.

Having lived in Fremont and Union City for more than 50 years combined, Mr. Suchyta has strong ties to the local community. Outside the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his grandchildren and values the relationships that matter most, both personally and professionally.
