From our home in Pasadena, California, the Mediation Center of Los Angeles (MCLA) works to make justice something every Californian can reach. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit, we guide people through civil unlimited, probate, unlawful detainer (landlord/tenant) and family disputes, along with real estate, personal injury, employment and business conflicts. For property professionals and their clients, our California Association of REALTORS (C.A.R.) arbitration program delivers an affordable, streamlined path to resolving real estate disputes, including those rooted in C.A.R. agreements.

Since 2018, we have served as a trusted resource vendor for civil mediations with the Los Angeles Superior Court. Our panel includes independent attorney-mediators, each with at least 10 years of experience and in good standing with The State Bar of California. Their deep knowledge of civil law and commitment to professional excellence guide every session. Among them is Mark Ameli, whose judicial family background and culturally informed approach foster understanding, honesty and genuine human connection.

Mediation offers a faster, more affordable path than trial. By resolving matters early, even before a lawsuit is filed, our clients avoid steep court and attorney fees and spare themselves much of the stress of litigation. All sessions take place remotely via Zoom with certified mediators, giving parties flexibility and convenience at a lower cost. Remote mediation has also become the preferred format across California.
