Ms. Villa is passionate about helping clients plan for their future. She is committed to respecting her clients’ values and listening to their concerns. Whether it’s establishing trusts or creating comprehensive estate plans, Ms. Villa strives to make the process clear and stress-free for her clients.
Having guided countless families through the legal complexities that arise after the death of a loved one, Ms. Villa provides compassionate support, ensuring that clients understand their rights and obligations throughout the probate and/or trust administration process. Additionally, Ms. Villa is well versed in representing heirs/beneficiaries who need an advocate to explain their rights and protect their interests.
Ms. Villa has worked in the litigation field since 2013. First as a legal assistant for a boutique civil litigation office and later as an assistant to probate litigation attorneys. As an attorney, Ms. Villa spends much of her time in the courtroom, advocating for her clients before the court.
Given the vast overlap between business and estate planning, Ms. Villa is experienced in assisting clients with the creation of new business entities, drafting operating agreements or bylaws that are consistent with her client’s estate planning goals, winding up businesses, transferring interest between members and/or shareholders, and transferring business entities into trusts.
As the eldest child of her two immigrant parents, Ms. Villa has spent her entire life acting as a translator. She understands the importance of speaking with clients in their native language and the positive effect this can have on the quality of their representation. Ms. Villa is excited to provide legal services in Spanish.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
