Overview

Candice advises and defends businesses in traditional labor law matters such as grievance processing under collective bargaining agreements, labor arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board. She also counsels and works with clients on employment law matters such as responding to employee allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour law violations. Candice has extensive litigation experience, and she has second-chaired a two and a half-week federal disability discrimination jury trial against the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that resulted in a unanimous verdict in favor of the employer.

Candice is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, and the Labor and Employment Law and Law Practice Management and Technology sections of the State Bar of California.

Candice received her J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School. She received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in English from University of California at Berkeley. As a Golden Bear, Candice was an All-American rower on the women's crew team winning four Pac-10 and two NCAA team championships. In law school, Candice was a summer intern for the Honorable David De Alba in the Sacramento County Superior Court.

She is licensed to practice law before all California state courts and in federal court in the Eastern and Northern Districts of California.
