    Hired Attorney 2024-2025
Back in dec 2024 me and my partner (ms, lacks stepdaughter) got into an car accident, ms lack had us go to their house after the accident to sign documents saying she'll be our laywer, we were very appreciative since we have no idea about any law stuff and we thought we were screwed, my partner had just started a new job, our car is totalled,I have endstage liver disease and was in the passenger seat when Tboned so we were messed up and scared. Her father, Ms lacks husband, Mr,coe/Marvin, lent us his vehicle thankfully for her to get to work. We unfortunetly live in a terrible neighborhood and the car was broken into, I helped Mr Coe with removing the glass and broken ignition from the vehicle, I asked him if he'd liked me to ask about security footage from the store near by and he said "no point its just gonna be black kids". I hadn't interacted with Mr Coe on a one on one basis often but I didnt think him this kind of man the same way I didnt think Ms lack the type of woman to abandon a client during an emergency. You see a few days after Mr coes car was broken into My partner entered a manic episode. Apparently she has Late onset Bipolar 1. When I tried to inform Mr Coe and Mrs lack about their daughter's mental health I was dismissed. Entirely. Despite having gone to a therapist multiple times and being named a person to make decisions for her while shes in this state. Mrs lack dropped us as a client and her and her husband stopped speaking to us all together. She had lost her job, her car, and her father put her car into the shop for her and then after abandoning her never helped her further to get it out. Ms lack was there for every one of these decisions and absolutely left us high and dry when it counted. If you think she wont do it to you, my partner was her step daughter for more than half a decade and I was with her for a year. These people care about nothing except for looks and money. You can see it just by going to their house. Its like trumps. I deleted a previous review because it was neccesary if my partner wanted any chance at reconnection with her family but this year they didnt even invite her to Christmas after every thing and even her going to them and apologizing for being mentally ill. BRADS ALSO WEIRD AROUND KIDS ANd REBECCA YOU HAVE NO SHAME.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
