5.0 out of 5 stars

I retained Mr. Garrison at the 11th hour of a lawsuit originally filed in March 2016. Greg would be the 3rd legal firm representing me, you can imagine the frustration of attempting to be heard by any legal firm with a case horribly mishandled by the two prior firms. Just the fact of it having been with two attorneys before now was enough for every firm I spoke with to shut down and refuse it. I was practically in a panic. I was running out of time, I had no representation, and I was suddenly my own attorney. It became such that my search for a lawyer overcame everything else and I would spend from 8 am to noon and again from 1 pm to 5 6 and later talking to any and all firms. The Judge had made it very clear that If I didn't return to the next hearing with a lawyer he would be forced to dismiss the suit. I was in such a depressed state; it was the loneliest Christmas, my wife and I separated 6 months prior to the Pandemic and a perfectly righteous lawsuit I filed was just about to get flushed down the toilet. This suit and the proper prosecution of it was about more than money, it really was going to have life-altering consequences, one way or the other. Greg returned my call Christmas evening, two days later he met me and left with everything I had been given from the last attorney, far and away incomplete as well. Greg spent 15 hours going through everything, and he called me back and said I was getting screwed and wanted to help. At a huge expense to himself and with a potential return of zero Mr. Garrison signed on. I have been utterly blown away by Greg and his team; Alex, Kevin, Nichole. What I can tell you is that my legal team of Greg Garrison APC restored my faith in our justice system. I remain humbly awed at my experience with Greg, Alex, Kevin, and Nichole his legal assistant. Greg got done in 90 days what two other Plaintiff Attorneys could not get done in 4 years. The results were a 1.48 million dollar judgment on the Defendant/Respondent, with half of that being punitive damages, especially satisfying to hear the Judge find Defendant guilty of all four charges. I remain in shock at the job and results from Garrison Trial Lawyers. Greg Garrison stood in the gap for me. It had been a long time since I met anyone with the level of integrity as Greg and the team demonstrated. He saw the abuse I suffered from having been the victim of a Child Molester, and he brought me justice. Thank you, Greg, Alex, Kevin. You got in this fight and kicked butt!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
