Overview
Araya S. Richard, Esq. is an attorney licensed to practice law in California and Massachusetts. She brings a strong foundation in family law and a deep commitment to serving individuals and families with compassion and advocacy.
Prior to joining Butler Law, PC, Ms. Richard worked as a pro bono attorney with a family law nonprofit, where she provided legal support to underserved communities. Her dedication to helping others has been a consistent thread throughout her career. As a first-generation college and law school graduate, Ms. Richard earned a full scholarship to attend law school, an achievement that reflects both her determination and academic excellence.
During her undergraduate and legal studies, Ms. Richard gained valuable experience through internships with a court service center, a mediation firm, and a domestic violence nonprofit. She also worked as a social worker while preparing for the bar exam, further strengthening her ability to support clients navigating complex and emotionally challenging circumstances.
Ms. Richard earned her Bachelor of Arts from Merrimack College, majoring in Social Justice with double minors in Women’s and Gender Studies and Pre-Law. She received her Juris Doctor from New England Law, where she was recognized on the Honor Roll. While in law school, she continued her commitment to public service by working with a domestic violence nonprofit, providing legal assistance to survivors and their families.
At Butler Law, PC, Ms. Richard is dedicated to guiding clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions with diligence, empathy, and professionalism.
Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Richard enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog and pursuing her passion for art.
