With over 25 years of experience, Cynthia L. Stratton is a forward-thinking advocate who combines traditional litigation with innovative strategies to minimize client exposure. Not only does she litigate cases through trial, but she also helps clients reduce risk by employing preventative measures and alternative dispute resolution techniques whenever possible. As a managing partner at Stratton & Green, ALC, Ms. Stratton specializes in civil litigation, focusing on business and employment matters including wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, harassment, and discrimination. She is also dedicated to litigation prevention, offering statutory training, policy and procedure manual development, and management coaching. Additionally, Ms. Stratton serves as an independent workplace investigator.
Ms. Stratton has successfully handled a variety of civil disputes where she has meditated, arbitrated and/or litigated hundreds of cases to successful resolution. She is a Certified Mediator and served on mediation panels for the San Diego Superior Court and Department of Fair Employment and Housing (California Civil Rights Department). Ms. Stratton broadened her experience as a neutral through her volunteer service in several San Diego County Small Claims Courts.
Ms. Stratton has been recognized as a Finalist for the Daily Transcript’s Top Attorneys in Labor/Employment, the San Diego Business Journal’s General Counsel Award, and the Women Who Mean Business Award. She is also a multiple recipient of the Super Lawyers© distinction in labor and employment law.
Within the legal community, Ms. Stratton serves as an officer of the San Diego County Bar Association Board of Directors, is a member of California Lawyers Association, writes articles in various publications, and regularly speaks at seminars/webinars educating the legal community on new labor and employment laws. Ms. Stratton is deeply committed to giving back to the San Diego community, actively supporting and participating in a range of local charities. She has a particular passion for organizations that strengthen community and social connections, with a focus on advancing equality, uplifting women, and inspiring the next generation to realize their full potential. Ms. Stratton continues to satisfy her desire to assist those in need through her participation as General Counsel for Meals on Wheels of the Greater San Diego Area.
