Overview
Daniel J. Brooker, Esq. is a California-licensed attorney with a diverse legal background spanning patent law, criminal law, and family law. After beginning his career as a patent attorney and later practicing criminal law, Mr. Brooker discovered a strong passion for family law, where he is able to combine strategic advocacy with meaningful client support during some of life’s most challenging moments. He was drawn to Butler Law, PC for its collaborative culture and shared commitment to providing thoughtful, high-quality representation to every client.
Mr. Brooker earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he double majored in Biology and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, he volunteered for two years at a Guardianship Clinic and participated in a study-abroad program in London, England, experiences that helped shape his client-centered approach to the practice of law.
Outside of practicing law, Mr. Brooker enjoys playing and coaching ice-hockey, traveling, playing tennis, and hanging out with his wife and his dog – a very lazy chiweenie.
