Michael Riggins is an Associate at Phillips Jessner. Before joining Phillips Jessner, Mr. Riggins was an associate in the San Francisco offices of Buckley LLP, where he represented a variety of large financial institutions in class action suits and before federal regulatory agencies. Prior to this, Mr. Riggins worked in the San Francisco offices of Vinson & Elkins in their civil litigation division.

Mr. Riggins earned his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2019, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Journal of African American Law and Policy (BJAALP). Mr. Riggins was also an Associate Editor on the Ecology Law Quarterly (ELQ), and he was also a member of Berkeley Law’s Jessup International Moot Court Competition team. He received a Certificate of Specialization in Environmental Law upon graduation from Berkeley Law.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Riggins was a member of Teach for America (TFA) in Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked as a middle and elementary school teacher. He received his BA in Political Science and English from San Diego State University in 2012.
