Roxanne is an insolvency law specialist with significant experience in leading clients to positive results in financially distressed scenarios. She serves as special litigation counsel to bankruptcy trustees, debtors, creditors’ committees, and receivers focusing on recovering money for estates. On behalf of these clients, Roxanne is skilled in investigating and prosecuting claims arising out of a company’s collapse, including claims against insiders, corporate fraud, gross negligence, and malpractice against third party professionals. She develops and moves cases forward through initial analysis, working with forensic experts, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Roxanne is also accomplished in leading clients to positive outcomes in complex business disputes. Issues range from ownership disputes and claims against directors and officers to secured lending transactions.
Roxanne started her legal career as a corporate restructuring attorney assisting middle-market companies facing operational issues, guiding them to successful reorganization. Roxanne uses her business acumen gained from being an insolvency attorney to craft practical and thoughtful solutions for her business clients. She is quick to understand her client’s business and its objectives and to find solutions either through a negotiated resolution or litigation.
After graduating from Boston College Law School, Roxanne served as a law clerk to the Honorable Julia W Brand, bankruptcy judge for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, Los Angeles Division.
