Michael E. Tracht is part of the firm’s litigation group, focusing on complex commercial disputes, structured-finance and securities litigation, and trust and estate matters. His clients have come from a wide variety of industries and have ranged from individuals and small businesses to some of the largest companies in the world. He was named a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Super Lawyers in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Michael Tracht joined Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz in 2023 as part of its structured finance and distressed investments group. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tracht was a litigation associate in the New York and Chicago offices of Kirkland & Ellis and of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he worked on business disputes and investigations, such as distressed investments and securities cases, contract litigation, governmental and bankruptcy-related investigations, e-discovery matters, consumer protection class actions and multi-district proceedings, and both residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes.

Mr. Tracht’s broad client base has included businesses in the financial services, healthcare, pharmaceutical, retail, manufacturing, and automotive industries, among others. He has worked on matters in state and federal courts in several states (including appellate and bankruptcy courts), as well as before mediators and domestic and international arbitration panels, and in administrative proceedings.
