Overview
Zachary J. Shepard is a partner at Glickman & Glickman, where he started practicing law after graduating from UCLA School of Law in 2005. His practice has focused on contingency fee representation of individuals who have suffered harm in California.
Mr. Shepard has successfully prosecuted cases for over twenty years in state and federal court, and in private arbitration and mediation, as lead counsel for his clients in actions for wrongful termination and retaliation (including FEHA, 1102.5 and H&S 1278.5 cases), and wage and hour violations, as well as personal injury matters (including catastrophic, orthopedic and neurological injuries and wrongful death matters), premises and products liability, and professional negligence (legal and medical malpractice). His background includes deep experience in matters involving public entities. Mr. Shepard retired from employment litigation in 2025 to focus his employment practice on acting as a neutral to mediate employment disputes. He continues to accept new matters, by referral only, outside of the employment law space.
During law school, Mr. Shepard externed for the Hon. Gary Klausner at the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. At UC Berkeley, studying Sociology, Mr. Shepard was named to the Dean's List. He graduated with highest honors in 1997 and received the Departmental Citation. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Shepard worked in the restaurant business in his home town of San Francisco.
Mr. Shepard practices across California, with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of California and the U.S. District Courts in the Central and Northern Districts of California. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Associations of Los Angeles and California, and the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association; he was a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association for many years through 2025.
