Overview
Liz Ewert is the Senior Vice President and a managing attorney of Rossi Law Group. She represents various self-insured employers, third-party administrators, and insurance companies in workers’ compensation cases throughout Southern California. Liz is very familiar with all aspects of handling workers’ compensation claims from inception to resolution, including AOE/COE trials, trials on all issues, depositions of witnesses and doctors, and the strategic pursuit of discovery. She routinely works closely with employers to ensure all relevant information is used to defend claims in order to achieve the most favorable outcomes.
Liz was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2021-2024, which identifies her as being among the top 2.5% of up-and-coming attorneys. Liz prides herself on building lasting relationships and being available to her clients at all points of the pre-litigation and litigation process. She has conducted numerous trainings of third-party administrators related to workers’ compensation claims handling and litigation and stays up to date on new case law and amendments to the Labor Code.
Liz frequently presents to the workers' compensation community regarding hot topics in the industry, including in person trainings, online webinars, and major industry conferences.
When not focusing on workers’ compensation defense, she enjoys spoiling her pets, mountain biking and traveling with her husband.
Liz graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law with a certificate from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. During her time at Pepperdine, she served as an associate editor for the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship, and the Law and was involved in several clinics including the Special Education Advocacy Clinic and the Investor Advocacy Clinic. Finally, while working for Rossi Law Group as a law clerk during her time in law school, Liz gained valuable experience in workers’ compensation matters.
Before moving to California, Elizabeth obtained her bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University.
