Overview
Laura Andrade is a Vice President and Managing Attorney at Rossi Law Group, where she focuses her practice on the defense of all aspects of workers’ compensation claims. She brings more than a decade of experience in workers’ compensation law and has been with Rossi Law Group since the firm’s founding.
Laura began her workers’ compensation career in 2010 while attending Pepperdine University School of Law, where she worked as a law clerk with James Rossi at Crandall, Wade & Lowe. She joined Rossi Law Group at its inception as a founding member and, upon her admission to the California Bar in 2012, began practicing as an associate attorney with the firm. Since that time, she has continued to advance within Rossi Law Group, ultimately serving in firm leadership.
Laura is actively engaged in new and emerging trends in workers’ compensation law. She regularly provides training sessions, presents webinars, and speaks at conferences for workers’ compensation professionals on evolving legal and industry issues.
Laura earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2012 and received a Certificate from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. While in law school, she earned the CALI Award for Arbitration and studied alternative dispute resolution—including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration—in London, Paris, and Geneva.
Before relocating to California, Laura earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
In recognition of her professional accomplishments, Laura was named a 2021 Rising Star by Super Lawyers and was featured in Los Angeles Magazine and Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in the region.
Laura met her husband while in law school, and they have three children. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, hiking, and reading.
For past positions, it says Rossi Law Group, Law Clerk 2010 – it should actually be Crandall, Wade & Lowe 2010.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
