Overview
Stéphanie F. Prébay is an accomplished Associate Attorney at LNN, bringing extensive international legal experience and a strong focus on personal injury law. She began her legal education in France, earning her law degree from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and later a Master 2 in Insurance and Torts Liability from Aix-Marseille III, where she was awarded Valedictorian and received a prestigious Thesis Award for her research on medical malpractice liability theories. After completing her legal training at the Paris Bar School, Stéphanie was sworn in as an attorney in France in 2013 and practiced there before transitioning to the United States.
In the U.S., Stéphanie pursued an LL.M. at UCLA School of Law, further expanding her expertise. She is licensed to practice in six U.S. states, including California, New York, Texas, and Massachusetts, as well as in France and Quebec. Stéphanie has worked on numerous cases throughout the United States. Some examples of her results include helping to secure a $3.75 million settlement for a late cancer diagnosis in a medical malpractice case, a $955,000 verdict for the passenger of a vehicle that crashed in a ditch, a $1 million settlement in an Uber-related personal injury case, and a $240,000 settlement in a premises liability case.
In addition to her personal injury work, Stéphanie has demonstrated a strong commitment to pro bono service. She previously worked with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in the Child Abduction Section and Major Crime Unit, contributing to important legal matters in those areas. She also serves as Vice President of a charity in Vietnam that supports orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Furthermore, she is a registered attorney with the French Consulate in Los Angeles, providing legal assistance to the French community in Southern California.
Stéphanie has published legal analyses during her clerkship at the French Supreme Court for Governmental Matters, where she synthesized medical malpractice case law for dissemination to Courts of Appeals. She has also given talks at UCLA, sharing insights on how to succeed in the Bar Exam with aspiring legal professionals.
Outside of her professional life, Stéphanie enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and seeking out French bakeries across the U.S. She also stays closely connected with her global network of friends, maintaining meaningful relationships with them around the world.
Stéphanie’s combination of international legal expertise, dedication to her clients, and passion for community service make her a highly valued member of LNN. She is committed to achieving the best outcomes for her clients while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
