    Hired Law firm 2020-2025
The reviews that I'm seeing on here are very very true regarding how this attorney is first off I am told that the attorney will call you and I never hear back from them, I have to call the law firm again to ask the same thing and I'm told a different day and then I'm told a different day and a different day to the point where they have to transfer me just to talk to attorney Dayton because attorney Dayton can't call me back. I pretty much get told 4 times he will call you an never does. Another issue that I've been having with this attorney is I've Been Told several times that I would be getting the insurance money a few years ago then I was told last month then in a few weeks then in a few days and I've been hearing the same story 4 years when I question why they make it seem like that it had to do with the fact that me and my sister would not settle they made it seem like they didn't have the information and that they been trying to dig it up which I already did give them that information. When they ask me for certain things I always I always give it to them and then a few months down the road they asked me for the same information again as if they didn't even write it down in the first place also they like to ask stuff at the last minute before we have court this attorney is very unreliable says they'll call you back never does and I constantly deal with this with the attorney the attorney is very naive and very forgetful because I'm constantly giving them information that I already gave. I constantly have to follow up to make sure that they're doing what they're supposed to be doing. Simple task take very long for them to even do which is very ridiculous for example I've been told that all they need to do is have an agreement on a certain Paper and I've been told this over and over and over and over again and then I'm told oh just one more last step and I keep waiting and waiting and waiting and every time I call for an update it's always the same thing oh it's going to be finished this day that day and it never is. I could tell when you talk to these people that they don't take your information down or take it seriously it's only at the last minute they'll ask you the same stupid questions that you already gave them the answer to. This attorney will not take responsibility for their actions they blame me and my sister for the reason why it's been so long they don't apologize at all when I'm told about four times that they're going to call and never do I believe they don't believe in Justice because when I told them a certain situation about forgery they made it seem like oh you want to go to court over some pity money no it's about the principle of it I've always felt like this Law Firm really was not protecting me I always felt like they really did not care I don't like how the law firm is very unprofessional it seems like a lot of the people in the law firm cough up an attitude such as the secretary the attorney. When I call theres some one name S that picks up sounds rude not patient seems like they're trying to just hurry up and when I asked them when a certain secretary supposed to be back they just tell me not available not available not available and I'm like well can you give me a time and they were very rude and said like I said they're unavailable I'm a woman and I feel like I've been mistreated by non-females I would think they would have a lot more respect and consideration for a younger woman but they do not please do not hire this Law Firm I got them through LegalShield and honestly was the worst mistake hiring this piece of crap Law Firm. Unreliable, unprofessional, rude, forgetful does not believe in Justice, unorganized, slow, lacks compassion. Horrible horrible law firm. If you want to feel like your words dont matter and you want to feel like your law firm is not there for you please hire. They will waste your time come up with excuses an be your broken record.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
