R. Benjamin Vojtik is a partner and equity shareholder of Hartley Vojtik Law Group and is licensed to practice in both California and Texas. He represents clients in family law, estate planning, probate, and related elder-law matters from the firm’s offices in Ventura, California, and Arlington, Texas.

Mr. Vojtik has been with the firm since its first chapter. He began in the file room and research desk of what was then a solo practice, worked through every operational and legal role in the office, and now practices as a dual-state partner. He is an equity partner in the Texas professional corporation — which will shortly be renamed Hartley Vojtik Law PC — and an equity shareholder in Hartley Vojtik Law Group APLC, the firm’s California professional corporation. That is how the practice is being built to continue.

He came to the law with the same work pattern. While earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies at California State University, Northridge, he worked full time as a finish carpenter. He then attended the Colleges of Law, Ventura Campus, while working full time at the firm, received academic honors, and earned his J.D. in 2017. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2018 and to the State Bar of Texas thereafter.

Within the firm, Mr. Vojtik leads the estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate work, and he also handles family-law matters including divorce, custody and support, prenuptial agreements, and the financial issues that sit beside a dissolution. Clients and colleagues know him for a calm, analytical approach to problems that are anything but simple. He treats family law and estate work as one discipline, not two silos — because the same family often needs both. He is also a regular educator on the firm’s video library, including programs on prenuptial agreements, hidden assets in divorce, tax filing during dissolution, and protecting future income.
