Attorney Information

Overview

Nicholas B. Buss focuses his practice on estate planning and administration, business entity formation and transactions, and real property transactions. His representative clients reflect the diverse nature of the Visalia area, including farmers, small business owners, physicians, dairy operators, contractors, homeowners, and families.

Nick currently serves as the Vice President of the Tulare-Kings Counties Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Tulare County Bar Association board of directors.

Nick grew up in Visalia, California, where he attended Golden West High School, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fresno Pacific University with a B.A. in Business Management, and met and married his lovely wife. He received his J.D. from USC Gould School of Law with a certificate in Business Law.

Prior to returning to Visalia in 2016, Nick practiced business litigation in Downtown Los Angeles, handling complex real estate and fraudulent transfer matters.

During law school, Nick interned at Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles, helping impoverished residents of Los Angeles County at weekly clinics and co-authoring a practice guide on common legal aid issues. He spent his third year at OpenGate Capital as the sole law clerk for the General Counsel, working extensively on business transactions including formation of limited liability companies and drafting leases, purchase and sale agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.

As a law student, Nick was a staff member of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal and a staff member and contributing author of the USC Business Law Advisor. He also served as the Vice President-Placements of Legal Aid Alternative Breaks (LAAB), a student organization that raised money to send volunteer law students to provide legal and manual service in areas damaged by natural disasters.

Prior to law school, Nick worked for over five years in the public and private sectors in Visalia.

He is a San Francisco 49ers, LA Dodgers, Utah Jazz, and USC (Fight on!) fan. He also enjoys DIY home improvement projects, logic games, and fantasy football.
