The RLG cares and it is felt from the moment you call them for help. Alexis, Gannon, Jimmy and Lexi are a phenomenal team. Gannon Becker was our representation and he did an incredible job with our case that should not have gone to trial to begin with. He and Lexi were extremely strategic in their planning and execution to show that we were innocent. They were transparent and communicated promptly with us, never being left in the dark. Their expertise in law, their interpersonal skills and professionalism cannot be beat. This team is like no other. We are now able to move forward with our lives. I highly recommend the Right Law Group... because they are!

Right Law Group provided legal advice that would have required breaking the law. With a court date imminent, I attempted in vain to contact them every day for nearly a week. They were evasive with answers, no attorneys would contact me directly, and then at the court date they told the judge outright that they were not prepared for a defense. They had two months of time to prepare, but each meeting they came completely unprepared to and I don't believe they bothered to read all of discovery or any exculpatory whatsoever. This directly caused me to waive my right to a speedy trial and considerable duress and damages from that moment. They still have not withdrawn from my case and I needed to contact the Colorado Supreme Court to investigate further. You'd be better off defending yourself by far.

Here is my story: I initially retained this firm to seal 4 specific cases that were coming up on my CBI. When initially talking to the attorney that was going to handle my case, she told me that all 4 were sealable and we shouldn't have any issues. So I said great and made all of the payments(we'll say 500 for each case with a total of 2000) and gave all of the documentation that was requested. She then left the firm and I was passed off to another attorney who immediately said that they can't seal traffic cases because it wasn't allowed(case 1). I was starting to get concerned at this point because one of my cases was a traffic case. So I said okay, lets continue to work on the other 3 cases. One out of the 4 cases was sealed which I was really happy about(case 2). The other two that, according to the new attorney, could be sealed was denied(case 3). This was due to the time allowance per case to make it sealable, meaning I got convicted of a petty offense(case 4) during the time that I wasn't supposed to get any other charges to make case 3 sealable. So at this point, I paid for 4 specific cases to get sealed, but 1 out of the 4 got sealed. I went back and forth with the office on a refund and they sent me 15 percent back in a check. They also explained that they got two other cases sealed(one being a traffic case which I thought couldn't be sealed) and should've been compensated for it but did it out of goodwill. I told them that was nice of them to do that, but my concern was the 4 charges that was listed on my cbi. These other two charges were not even listed on the cbi and I had no idea what they were. They couldn't even provide any info on the cases or anything. So out of paying 500 per case(2000 total), I received a refund for 300 bucks which was not fair. I paid this firm to advise me on what could / could not be sealed and expected that all 4 could be sealed but was not given the right refund amount and the owner made it feel like she was doing me a favor. My suggestion is to make sure you have everything in writing on what to expect, make sure that they do their research on what should/should not happen in terms of outcome(pay the fee for them to do this research) and call around to make sure that you are getting a good deal.

Alexis, Cole, and Bree are the ones I have interacted with on my son's case. They are compassionate and get to the heart of your case. I highly recommend them.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
