I was facing jail time for serious sex crime felony charges in the metro area and received probation instead, and, after lengthy persistence from Doug and myself the court dismissed all of the charges. Then, a new legal issue with the S.O. registry arose due to case law changes, and Doug successfully worked with the courts and found a solution to get me off the list and helped me with logistics for removal from the different agencies even after the court order was issued. Throughout this multi-year ordeal my financial situation changed for the worse, and I feel Doug went above and beyond the fine print in our financial agreement in helping me. Looking back, feeling like my back was against a wall with no way out, I did not enjoy hearing all of the advice Doug provided because I wanted an immediate solution, but I'm very glad I had the sense to listen to him and stay patient.
