Taylor Goldschmidt - Castle Rock, CO

Taylor Goldschmidt is a senior associate with the firm’s Family Law team, representing clients in divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, division of complex marital estates, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and civil protection order matters.

Taylor has spent much of her legal practice immersed in family law. From pre-trial motion hearings and depositions to mediation and litigation, she has guided clients through high-conflict disputes in courts across Colorado and California. Before joining R&H, Taylor practiced at a Colorado firm focused exclusively on family law and at two San Diego firms, where she developed case strategies for high-asset matters — including multiday trials involving forensic accountants, appraisers, custody evaluators, and medical experts.

Early in her career, Taylor handled employment and consumer debt litigation and drafted motions and discovery in business, real estate, and personal injury disputes. Handling those disputes sharpened her eye for overlapping financial and legal issues that surface in family law cases, such as disputed income, hidden assets, and complex marital estates that could otherwise be overlooked.

Taylor is known for handling difficult cases with compassion and prioritizing the best interests of vulnerable individuals, shaped in part by her work as a certified Guardian ad Litem. Clients rely on her for candid guidance and diligent pursuit of favorable case outcomes.

• Contested paternity rights - Obtained case dismissal after prevailing at a contested visitation hearing and deposition against a biological father seeking rights to a child with whom he’d had no prior contact.
• Protection order trial - Obtained a permanent protection order on behalf of the client in a civil protection trial after the husband repeatedly came to the marital home and made verbal threats.
• Custody modification & relocation - Secured primary physical custody and approval to relocate the children when representing a father in a complex post-decree custody matter involving a custody evaluator and multiple medical experts testifying on the opposing party’s behalf.
