Richard B. Vincent, Partner, enjoys helping others. His practice emphasizes the legal problems of the elderly and disabled, including legal issues related to establishing and maintaining eligibility for Medicaid and other public benefit programs, trust and estate planning, probate administration, conservatorships and guardianships, disability planning through use of durable powers of attorney and special needs trusts.
Mr. Vincent was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with honors in 1977. In 1983, he received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver Graduate School of Business. Mr. Vincent was also awarded a Certificate in Gerontology by the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work in 1996.
Mr. Vincent is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He is a former staff volunteer for Denver Legal Aid and the Denver County Adult Protection Division and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys ("NAELA"), the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association, and the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. Mr. Vincent is a past chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee, past editor of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association Probate and Trust Law Section newsletter and a contributor to The Colorado Handbook of Elder Law. He has been designated by Super Lawyers for the past fourteen years. Richard’s interests include mountain climbing, hiking and international travel.
