Overview
Kathryn Stafford joined Grob & Eirich in 2019. As an associate attorney at Grob & Eirich, Kate’s primary focus is adoption, including custodial, stepparent, second-parent and private infant adoptions; guardianship; child welfare; and adoption assistance cases. Prior to becoming a member of the Colorado bar in 2020, Kate worked at the firm as a paralegal.
Kate received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Georgia in 2008 and a J.D. from California Western School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Kate participated in an immigration clinic where she helped survivors of domestic violence apply for legal status. She also interned in the children’s department at Casa Cornelia Law Center, focusing on applications for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. She was inducted as a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society in 2016.
After law school, Kate spent a year in Washington, DC working in the Data Analysis Program at Polaris Project, a non-profit organization which fights against human trafficking. Upon moving to Denver, she continued working with Polaris as a data and research contractor until joining Grob & Eirich.
Kate has always been interested in working on behalf of children and families. She is a former Big Sister, Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and also volunteered as a Sexual Assault Response Advocate.
