Customer Reviews for Susan P. Halloran, Attorney at Law

Hired Law firm 2018-2024Susan has handled my husband's contentious court battles with his ex-wife for over six years. She is the most ethical and compassionate attorney I've ever met. Her knowledge of the law is impressive, and her professionalism is top-notch! She truly cares about her clients and their children. She did everything possible to put the children first and help my husband deal with the never-ending barrage of false accusations and constant frivolous motions. Colorado appears to be a mother-favoring state, which made her job more difficult, but she never stopped pushing for justice. Her fees are fair and well-earned. We are so grateful that we found such a skilled and knowledgeable attorney!

Hired Law firm 2019Ms Halloran represented our family during a difficult time when options were serious and confusing. Ms Halloran's expertise brought us the best possible results. Working with her was reassuring, as it was evident our case was as important to her as it was to us. I know she spent more time on our case than she listed. She was easy to contact, very direct, and genuinely cared! I will definitely call her again if a need arises and highly recommend her! Her work is more than worthy of her very fair fees.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
