Hired Law firm 2016-2018I was recommended to Paul by my father’s elder care lawyer Jim Powers after my Father had a horrific car accident. From the first day we met, Paul was the right lawyer. Paul and his assistant Bela met all of our expectations with precision, kindness and complete transparency. I highly recommend Paul and His Team.

Hired Law firm 2018-2019A few years back I had a trip and fall accident in a store and was directed to Paul Edwards of Edwards Trial Law. I cannot recommend an attorney more highly. Paul is a sharp lawyer who has done injury law from both sides, so his experience allows him a deeper understanding, which informs his approach to the case. Paul is warm and personable, and never made me feel rushed. His office administrator, Bella Soares, is likewise prompt, organized, warm, and helpful. I was very happy with the results of my case and would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone. Paul Edwards gets the job done, as do others, perhaps,, but likely not with the amount of personal consideration and feelings of trust that Edwards Trial Law allows.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
