Attorney Information

Overview

Chris has devoted her career to medical malpractice investigation, litigation and resolution, as well as the improvement of quality of care systems and processes that can give rise to patient harm. She joined the firm in 2025 to bring that deep experience to the leadership of the medical malpractice intake team at Koskoff.

Chris began her career in medical malpractice defense work in CT before joining a commercial insurer to manage and resolve high-exposure medical malpractice claims nationally. In that role, she managed thousands of claims and cases involving patient harm across all aspects of delivery of care systems. She also developed a critical understanding of the inner workings of professional liability insurance including actuarial, underwriting, claims and coverage analysis. She went on to become the Head of Claims with oversight of Risk Management for a major healthcare system in CT.This experience expanded Chris’ work beyond the resolution of medical malpractice claims to include investigation of patient harm events at their inception, as well as advocacy for risk mitigation and quality improvement initiatives. As part of this role, she spearheaded the rebuilding of a communication and resolution program to bring transparency and accountability for patient harm events to patients and their families. This background has equipped Chris with a unique understanding of the healthcare industry and insurance systems underlying the complex medical malpractice landscape.

Chris brings a passion for improvement of patient care to the firm’s current and prospective clients each day. She approaches each client and case with compassionate advocacy and the overarching goal of providing clients and their families with a learned guide in their search for answers.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
