I had a very professional experience with the Boyd Law Group, PLLC, especially with Patrick Boyd whose interaction with me was nothing short of exceptional. His recommendations regarding my case, along with his explanation of the law that applied, was very informative and allowed me to make informed decisions. He kept me apprised as the process played out and was able to apply just the right amount of pressure to the opposing counsel. His advice and expertise allowed me to maintain my cool and not rush into a settlement. In the end, I received a very agreeable settlement. I would highly recommend the Boyd Law Group, PLLC for anyone seeking legal assistance for a wrong termination.

I wanted to give the Boyd Law Group a big thank you for all of their help and guidance through a rather difficult time in my professional career. I was wrongly terminated from my position of 5 years. Many other lawyers I initially called to take the case had no interest due to the unique complexity of my case. With that being said they made me feel like they had my back from day one. They took the time to explain tome all the legal side of things and the timeline it take to run its course. Their fees were affordable and upfront; no hidden fees. Although their turnaround time to return emails was a bit slow at times they always kept me in the loop when they had updates and always cleared any decisions with me before submitting anything. They followed through and delivered, through their hard work and negotiations I was able to receive favorable compensation for the damages I incurred due to the wrongful/illegal termination. They were not afraid to take on the big corporate lawyers and win. Bravo team! To all those reading this; do not hesitate to give this team a chance to have your back, you won’t regret it!! Cheers, A satisfied client

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
